Study in Hungary

Stipendium Hungaricum covers tuition and supports accommodation, in English-taught degrees.

Overview

Stipendium Hungaricum is Hungary's flagship government scholarship. The official site says it fully covers tuition fees and supports accommodation costs, for programmes taught in English at Hungarian universities.

Other options listed by Study in Hungary include bilateral state scholarships, Erasmus+, CEEPUS and EEA Grants.

Admission steps

  1. Use the Study Finder to shortlist programmes.
  2. Read the entry and admission requirements and the application timeline on Study in Hungary.

  4. Wait for the selection result and the university offer.
  5. Apply for your residence permit or visa at the Hungarian consulate.

Documents you usually need

  • Passport

  2. For stays over 3 months: apply for a residence permit at the consulate abroad. Permits are issued for at least 90 days and up to 2 years.
  3. Study must be full-time at a registered Hungarian institution or a recognised preparatory course.
  4. Check the consulate list for where to apply from Pakistan.
